Rhytara began with a simple question: What if art could move beyond the wall?
Rhytara grew from artist Rashmi Rao's exploration of nature, color, movement and stillness. The first collection, Nature's Rhythm, emerged from a body of original abstract paintings created for Rashmi's solo exhibition.
The paintings came first. The sarees came later.
Selected works from Nature's Rhythm are thoughtfully translated from original artwork into flowing textile compositions on Georgette satin—allowing the movement, color and rhythm of the paintings to become something that can be carried into everyday life.
Rhytara isn't art-inspired fashion. It is an artist's practice finding another surface.
